B, Reformation 2009 “Reformation Lamination”

Posted by friarpuk on October 29th, 2009

Sermon: Reformation Lamination/ Text: Romans 3:20-24, 27-28/ Preaching Date: 25/10/09, Commemoration of the Reformation (Year B)/ Location: St Stephens Lutheran Church, Katanning, Western Australia / Focus: Once upon a time windscreens on vehicles shattered when hit by a stone, today thankfully they are laminated to stop them shattering.  Instead one is just left with a star on the glass.  Similarly today Christians are laminated to Christ and his grace so that when the law strikes it no longer shatters us but allows us to give glory to our Saviour who saves us through his lamination to us through his death and resurrection in our baptism!  Grace Mercy & Peace.
