Focus: We all need peace and rest. Many of us blokes like to retire to our sheds, some don’t! Women also have their favourite resting places of peace. But no matter where we seek our temporary peaceful resting places, God offers us a place of eternal peace and rest. We can rest in Christ, his word, his forgiveness, his promise to never leave us or forsake us as our Immanuel. Ironically though, as we rest in him, he rests in us! He temples in us! We are his shed! Focus: Jesus is the same as us but he is different. We like being the same as others but we always seek to be different and vice versa. Jesus was crucified because he was different but because he was the same.
