Sermon: Shaken not Stirred/ Text:Ephesians 4:25-5:2/ Preaching Date: 09/8/09, Pentecost 10 Proper 14 (Year B)/ Location: St Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Katanning, Western Australia
Focus: Many people inside and outside the church believe it’s a sin if Christians get angry. But we’re told in Scripture, in our anger do not sin. So we can be angry without actually sinning. Sermon: Eat your Cake and have it too/ Text: John 6:27/ Preaching Date: 02/8/09, Pentecost 9 Proper 13 (Year B)/ Location: Trinity Lutheran Church, Narrogin, Western Australia
Focus: When we desire something it can lead us to covet with our minds and hearts, and sometimes it leads to sin with our mouths and actions. King David desired Bathsheba and it led him to falling deep into sin. When our desires are fulfilled, the feelings associated with the desire disappear along with the yearning desire. In this way one can’t eat their cake and have it too. The desire just doesn’t stick around. But when we desire Christ and are satisfied, we can eat this “Divine Cake” of desire and still continue to have it. Such is the eternal nature of God given desires of faith and hope, and their fulfilment in eternal love. Grace Mercy & Peace. Friarpuk

Sermon: Seated & Fed/ Text: John 6:5b, 10a, 12b, 20b / Preaching Date: 26/7/09, Pentecost 8 Proper 12 (Year B)/ Location: St Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Katanning, Western Australia
Focus: When we sit in Church we sit in God’s presence. When we sit we sit in God’s holy rest. God sits us down, forgives us and feeds us. This is the place of true rest, true peace, which surpasses all human understanding. This is what the world needs and craves for yet looks for in all the wrong places. Grace Mercy & Peace. Friarpuk

Sermon: A Deadly Serious Business/ Text: Psalm 130:1-4/ Preaching Date: 28/6/09, Pentecost 4 Proper 8(Year B)/ Location: St Stephens Lutheran Church, Katanning, Western Australia
Focus: Sin is serious, even more serious is the forgiveness given to us by Christ. Belief in Jesus Christ is the only means of securing eternal peace from the severity of our sinful nature that will kill and eternally seperate us from God, if left untreated. Grace Mercy & Peace. Friarpuk
